ALLERGEN INFO

*ALLERGENS HANDLED IN OUR KITCHEN: CEREALS CONTAINING GLUTEN , SOYA, MILK, EGG, PEANUTS, NUTS*

Here at Flour Power, we are passionate about using premium ingredients to produce cookies with that WOW factor. However, to avoid any unwelcome surprises, we want to be completely transparent about the allergens and ingredients in our products, as well as the steps we take to avoid cross-contamination in our kitchen.

ALLERGENS + INGREDIENTS LISTS:

Below each product on our website you will find the Ingredients tab. This provides a complete list of ingredients along with allergens listed in bold.
This information is also available in the form of an information card inside the packaging of each product.

MANAGING CROSS-CONTAMINATION:

Our staff are fully trained in food hygiene + safety (level 3) as well as food allergy + intolerances, set by the Food Standards Agency. As a result, precautions are taken in the kitchen to minimise the risk of cross-contamination.
Please take into consideration that as a small business, we use some shared equipment when baking our products, meaning that although cross-contamination is managed, it is impossible to ensure that our products are 100% allergen-free.

Therefore, our products are not suitable for anyone with an allergy to cereals containing gluten, soya, dairy, egg, peanuts and nuts.

INFO FOR COELIACS:

The ingredients in our No-Gluten Cookie Pops recipe do not contain any gluten and precautions are taken to avoid any cross-contamination in our kitchen. Despite this, we are unable to advertise the product as 100% gluten-free.

This is in line with UK government legislation that prevents businesses from labelling a product as 'gluten-free' unless it contains 20 parts per million or less of gluten. (We have not had these tests done.)

The precautions we take to avoid cross-contamination of gluten in our kitchen include:

  • Gluten-free ingredients stored in a separate area of the kitchen

  • Separate utensils for gluten-free products also being stored separately

  • Surfaces and equipment being thoroughly cleaned before and after each bake

However, as a small business we are unable to have duplicates of certain appliances (such as the oven and mixers) solely for gluten-free products. This means that despite strict cleaning regimes there is a small risk of cross-contamination from this shared equipment, and so our products are not suitable for coeliacs.
